Uses and Applications of N- Tertiary Butyl Acrylamide:

Acrylamide is a temperature-sensitive monomer that can be potentially used in drug delivery systems, immobilization of cells, and dewatering of proteins. TBAcrylamide can be used in the preparation of poly(nTBA) based copolymeric hydrogels for bovine serum albumin. This chemical compound is used in the study of abiotic anti-VEGF nanoparticles in anti-angiogenic cancer therapy.

It is a monomer used in the production of various polymers and as an intermediate in organic chemical synthesis. The compound can be used for making polymers in various applications including:

Personal Care: It is used in a wide range of applications for volatile organic components (VOC) content because of its hybrid craft polymer that has excellent curl retention even at high temperatures.

Paper Industry: Acrylamide is used as a retention aid in the Paper Industry. N-TBArcrylamide based retention aid enhances the flocculating tendency of pulp fibers, contaminants, and additives to inhibit the damage during drainage through proper machine wires or screens.

Metalworking mist suppressant: Acrylamide-based polymeric anti-mist additives reduce the mist of machine fluids at the source by stabilizing them against break-up through the extreme shear conditions that occur during metalworking conditions.

Thickeners: The copolymers of tert-butyl acrylamide and Acrylic acid are used in thickening mixtures, aqueous solutions, or systems that show high performance even under high PH conditions.
