WHAT IS AROMATIC 150?

Aromatic 150 also known as aromatic solvent C10, A150 is a clear solvent with a mild aromatic odour.  It belongs to the petroleum hydrocarbon group and is primarily composed of C10 aromatic hydrocarbons.

HOW IS IT OBAINED?

Aromatic solvent C10 is obtained through the distillation of aromatic streams from crude oil. Since it harmful to humans, all the processes and equipment used for the manufacture, transfer and storage of the solvent are continuous and enclosed.

HOW IS AROMATIC SOLVENT C10 STORED?

Aromatic solvent C10 can be stored in steel drums or iso tanks and transported in tank trucks or bulk vessels. After transport, it should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area, away from any ignition sources. Since this solvent has a gravity of 0.855 and a flash point of 55 degrees, it will quickly ignite if stored near flammable objects.

USES OF AROMATIC 150

1. TO IMPROVE FLOW CHARACTERISTICS AND FILM FORMATION IN PAINTS AND COATINGS

Aromatic solvent C10 is most used in the paint, coating and printing ink industry. Since it has a higher flash point and evaporation rate than Xylene, it imparts better flow and film formation characteristics which is highly beneficial for paints and coatings.

2. TO MANUFACTURE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS

The agricultural industry is always on the lookout for eco-friendly products. Since C10 aromatic solvent has no ethyl benzene, it is useful in formulating green pesticides and other agricultural products.

3. AS A FUEL SOURCE

Aromatic 150 is highly flammable. In fact, it produces an impressive 3.14 megajoules of energy per litre. This makes it an excellent fuel source for camping stoves, blowtorches, lanterns, cigarettes and heating units. Moreover, its ability to burn cleanly makes it a green alternative to other fuels.

4. AS RAW MATERIAL FOR PLASTICS AND PETROCHEMICALS
